During the past twenty-one years Matthew has worked in the entertainment, finance and not-for-profit communities. From 1995 to the present Matt has worked, studied and performed in NYC on both sides of the camera (and stage). As an artist he has performed in, directed, written and produced, plays, TV shows (“Law & Order SVU”, “The Sopranos”), feature films, commercials, short films and web entertainment.
Matthew has been involved in theater production working with many off and off-off Broadway theaters, Including, EST (Ensemble Studio Theater, The Barrow Group, The Mint Theater, The Irish Arts Center, Expanded Arts and The Westbeth Theater Center).
An author as well, he’s also written a book on Digital Film making, “Digital Filmmaking for Actors: The Simple Script: Enhancing your career by creating you own opportunities.”
He began his filmmaking career as a youth. Inspired by his dad’s love for movies and work as a photographer (as well as sneaking the equipment out without permission), he began shooting 8mm movies with his brother at the age of 8.
