• 09:37 Air Force Week infor from yesterday: Col. Mark Vidmark is in charge of Air Force Week, I think… #
• 09:41 Air Force Week: But then, Paco (AKA Lt. Col Francisco G. Hamm) was the person I dealt with the most. He did a phenomenal job corralling us! #
• 09:43 Air Force Week: But let’s not forget the big boss: Major General Robert Duignan (2 star!), who’s the Fourth AIr Force Commander. #
• 09:46 Air Force Week: And the 2nd general: Brigadier General Jim Melin (1 star!), the 457th Air Mobility Wing Commander at March Air Reserve Base. #
• 09:48 Air Force Week: Melin runs the base but Duignan is his boss and tenant. #
• 09:49 Air Force Week: So get this, March Air Reserve Base has a runway that is 13,000 feet long. #
• 09:56 Air Force Week: The COOLEST news I found out: The AF is in charge of air space, outer space and CYBER space (for all the armed services). #

• 10:06 AF Week: The KC135R is the most up-to-date 50-year-old plane, by the way, according to General Melin. It’s the forerunner to the Boeing 707. #

• 10:58 24 hrs ago: Everyone’s gotten quiet just before takeoff. #
• 10:58 24 hrs ago: On the C17, getting ready to take off! #
• 11:00 24 hrs ago: We’re moving. This GIGANTIC C17 is moving! #
• 11:00 24 hrs ago: And we’re off! A BIG jolt when the brakes were released and the engines engaged! WOW! Exactly on time, BTW. #

• 12:16 24 hrs ago: The g-forces on the C17 are pretty heavy when the plane banks. Feel it much more than I ever have on a commercial flight. #

• 12:27 24 hrs ago: BTW, one of the flight crew got up right after we took off and went to look out each little window – checking the engines? #
