Ok, I’ve been lacking an editor for a long time. One quick read of this column and you’ll no doubt agree. But it’s not a writing editor I’m looking for (but you’ll still agree I need one, right?), but an HTML editor. You see, my blog’s look is a bit boring and my websites are in drastic need of some sprucing up. Of course, the smart thing to do would be for me to hire a web designer and let them actually make this stuff look a bit better than the barely-acceptable-now look that all my online world has currently. But smart isn’t what I necessarily do best, and besides, I want to learn all this stuff myself, so the next best thing (aside from begging for free help from my designer friends) is to do it myself.
So I’m on the prowl for a free or inexpensive HTML/CSS editor. I want something that is WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get), meaning you can actually see what it looks like (versus a text-only version). I’ve downloaded and am trying out the following editors:
CSSEdit
BBEdit
KompoZer
Nvu
PageSpinner 5
SeaMonkey
Now, some are not free, some are more than just HTML editors, but they all will do the job. Am I missing anything? Can any of you suggest an editor I should also check out? I’ll mess around with all of the above and let you know what I think, but if you have any guidance, I’d appreciate it!

Everybody needs an editor…eventually.
Feel free to check in. Hey, I’ll even give you an edit on the house!
